
Hello again friends, I hope you have had a beautiful time this Christmas season and as the New Year fast aproaches!
Let’s be honest, I believe a lot of us have a had a bit of hard 2021 coming in from 2020. Maybe you had a family member and/or friends passed away. Maybe you had job changes, or health issues came up, maybe you felt like a lot of people a bit tired, or maybe even dealt with mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
Whatever came up this year, I hope we can look back and take stock of the good things with gratitude to God for them and for the lessons we learned even from those hard times, because I think many times we learn more during our hard times than when things are less challenging but we can also use those good times of ease to grow, keep learning and put into practice what we learn in the hard times.
My hope for this new year, 2022:
- I hope we find rest in our souls, bodies and lives. May we trust Jesus, who says he will give us rest if we are tired and weary if we come to Him.
- I hope we love those who we have with us and be kind to others around us, we don’t know what they may be going through.
- I hope we may stay healthy and learn to take better care of our bodies, minds, finances, and spiritual lives and relationships of all kinds.
- I hope we let go of things in our lives that are holding us back from being all that God has called us to be.
- I hope we have faith that God has great plans for our lives even when we cannot see it. He will finish His work in us, until the day we either pass or until He comes back and takes us with Him, to those who belive in Him.
- I hope we enjoy each day and the mundaine moments and the special moments which will become good memories. And stay present in the life we have and with those we love.
- I hope we spend less time comparing our lives to how others are doing in their life, because we are all in different stages in life maybe you are going through something that another person who may seem to be doing good hasn’t gone through yet but as life goes, some are entering hard times, others are in the middle of the hard times, and others are getting out of hard times. So we are all in different stages and we each have our own unique path in life.
- I hope we make more time doing what God says to us in His Word the Bible and loving others as we love ourselves.
We don’t know what this New Year will be like, but we can learn from the past year and years and hope to make this a great year of growing, learning, resting and changing as always. May we have good health, joy and always have something to eat and clothes and shelter to keep us warm. Being Grateful for the little things, for those are what make this life.
I wish you a good 2022 may it be good to us, may we see the good in it and learn from the not so good. But most of all may we choose to belive in Jesus who is the only one who can save us from sin, death and can give us life here on this earth as well as eternal life in the afterlife. He is the way, the truth and the life. May you choose to trust Him and believe that He is who He says he is.

I wanted to end this post with some bible verses that encourage, I hope you can write them down and maybe even memorize them throughout the year to help you remember God’s promises to us:
Look for God’s blessings in your life:
- Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,… 1 Chronicles 16:11-12
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
- Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8
- A blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you. Deuteronomy 23:5
- Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. Lamentations 3: 22-24
Trust in God to be in control of things:
- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
- Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
- So we say with confidence,“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Look to the future and plan ahead:
- A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t, and even brags about it! Proverbs 13:16
- For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?” Luke 14:28-30
- Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds. Proverbs 27:23
- May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Psalm 20:4
Being content with what this year brings and trust in God’s faithfulness:
- Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:11-13
- A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. Proverbs 14:30
- “And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” …Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Cor. 12:9-10
- Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. Psalm 100:4
- But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
- And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
- Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. Psalm 96: 1-3
