Why I no longer write down goals.

Ever feel like you write down your goals and you never get anywhere or do anything you wrote down? So do I. I don’t know what is it but lately I prefer going step by step, knowing that God leads me and He goes before me, He knows what lies ahead and is working all things together for my good.

I think it is good to have Dreams or a vision of what you would like to do and accomplish, but like the Scripture says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Psalm 37:23 And to daily and weekly write a list or scheme of what you think you have to do. But you know ultimately God has the last word. Which is why I trust Him. He leads the way.

For some this might seem strange, like you might be wondering how does God lead you? It is something only a believer can have and can understand. He came and died to take our place and paid for or sins on that Cross being a righteous man, being God. And He rose again on the third day just as Scripture had foretold. He comes and dwells in my heart, He has sealed me with His Holy Spirit, I am a Child of God, A Chosen nation. We are His and there is nothing that can ever separate us, you and me from the Love of God in Christ Jesus.

We also have His Word, the Holy Bible. It is His Love letter and Word for us. Read it and you will get to know Him through it. Read the ESV (English Standard Version) version of the Bible, you can also now days read it in the YouVersion app for free!

So that is how I am living now. I learned to allow God to lead me, my life. There are times when I am distracted with the things of this life but He then calls me back again to Him, to follow Him. And I follow Him, and come back to Him in Awe of His Grace and Love, Mercy and Forgiveness. Like the song says What And Awesome God We Have!

If you have ever heard of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, Jesus taught that a man had two sons the older and a younger one, and the younger he asked for his inheritance before the time to his father. The father was heart broken but he gave it to him. And the younger son left his home and went to another far away country. There he made “friends” but all they wanted was his money and so he spent it all in pleasures and drink until a famine came and he had no money. He had to work in a farm of pigs, to feed them. He wouldn’t even have food for himself, he tried to eat from the scraps for the pigs but they wouldn’t let him eat. Then he remembered how he had everything in his fathers house. And said in his heart, I will return to my father’s house and beg him to take me in as a slave for even the slaves have food and clothing. So he left the country and as he was nearing his father’s house, His Father saw him from afar and ran towards him and with tears gave him a hug. The prodigal son told him why he returned and asked if he could take him as a slave. He said father I have sinned before heaven and toward you. But his father put a ring on his hand and told his servants to prepare a feast for his son who was once lost and dead had know been found and come back to life.

That is how God loves us.

Truly, you will never find a person or a thing that will Love you so unconditionally and know you so well, not to judge you but with understanding and Love.

So we are to surrender our lives to God, and let Him lead us as believers. If you want to have a relationship with Jesus, with God, pray to him with your own words, He says a broken and contrite heart God will not despise. Open your heart to Him and He will come into your heart in live with you. He will guide You and surround you with His Love all the days of your life.

That is what the Lord wanted me to share today. What I felt in my heart to write to you today.

God bless you and keep you always.

Much love.
