31 Things I’ve Learned Before 31.

This month I turn 31. And I wanted to write a note to the teenage me. There’s probably a lot more things I have learned so far, but 31 is what I will stick to.
Let me know in the comments any other things you may have learned, I’d love to know.

31 Things I’ve learned before 31.

ONE
Failure can become your key to growth.

TWO
Don’t try to be perfect. It’s not possible. Let this go.

THREE
Jesus said love your neighbor as you love yourself, correct. Also ps. If you can’t love yourself, how will you love others?

FOUR
Follow and take action on your dreams. No one can do them but you. Go after the dreams God put in your heart and mind. You can achieve them if you in the work.

FIVE
Family is the best gift in life.

SIX
Enjoy your grandparents. Ask them questions, they have lived through so much, and you can learn from their wisdom.

SEVEN
If he does not respect you, and doesn’t change, he’s not worth keeping.

EIGHT
Don’t be a people pleaser. It will only hurt you.

NINE
Speak up for what you need. No one can guess what you are thinking or what you need.

TEN
Respect others. But don’t let them take advantage of you.

ELEVEN
Your Mom is one of your best friends.

TWELVE
In the end of it all, you are alone. So take care of yourself, cause no one cares more about you than yourself, and knows you more than you.

THIRTEEN
Apart from yourself, trust in Jesus. He is the only “Man” worth loving and trusting.

FOURTEEN
Jesus in the Bible can be seen going to women, finding them at their places of work, or places they frequent. He treats them with respect and care. He appears to them in person.

FIFTEEN
Learn from your past and listen to counsel. There are clues and gems for you to learn there.

SIXTEEN
Leave your anxiety and worries at Jesus’ feet and take a deep breathe. He’s got you.

SEVENTEEN
Just because others didn’t go through what you went through and they didn’t experience it doesn’t invalidate your pain.

EIGHTEEN
Sometimes life doesn’t turn out the way we planned it, or thought it would.

NINETEEN
Keep going, this will soon pass.

TWENTY
After a stormy night the sun will always come out.

TWENTY-ONE
Find your tribe of people. People who will be there for you and you for them unconditionally and selflessly.

TWENTY-TWO
Don’t stay in toxic friendships, relationships or business deals. Finish the business deal and get out.

TWENTY-THREE
It’s better to only have 1 true friend than 100 “friends” who aren’t really there for you and you can’t trust.

TWENTY-FOUR
Excercise your body, not only is it good for your health, and physical appearance, but it’s most importantly good for your brain and mental health.

TWENTY-FIVE
Always care for those less fortunate than you. God will repay you.

TWENTY-SIX
Honor your parents, this pleases God.

TWENTY-SEVEN
Take good stewardship of your finances.

TWENTY EIGHT
Laugh!

TWENTY-NINE
Don’t let silly men or boys bring you down for being a woman.

THIRTY
Be grateful. This is good for your soul.

THIRTY-ONE
Take vitamins. They are going to help you care for your body. Don’t underestimate what your body is capable of doing. Women are special beings.
