Hello again dear reader! Remember those hauls we used to watch on youtube a long while ago lol.
I wanted to make a blog post about the Bibles I have and read. I hope, if you are on the look out for a Bible, these can serve as a guide for you to find the one for yourself. I have had a real Bible since I the first day I went to school. My first Bible was a KJV black gift bible. That was my Bible I took it with me to church and to school.
I like to underline the verses that speak to me in it. Either with a highlighter or with only a pen. I think doing that helps me remember and recall the verses. I read a story from Elizabeth George in her book A Woman After God’s Own Heart says when she was starting out in her faith and walk with Jesus, she took a pink highlighter and looked up verses that spoke about women or about how a godly woman should live. That helped her grow and mature spiritually, through prayer and meditation of the Scriptures and applying them to her life.
I underline, highlight and circle words. That speak to me personally. This is not a known “Method”, this is just the way I do it. Always ask yourself or pray out loud Lord what do you want to say to me today? Speak to me Lord, and give me the wisdom to know what you are saying and the courage to do what you say to me today. In Jesus Name Amen. Start now, read the Bible daily.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
