Happy New Year!!! We are in 2025, wow! It amazes me how we are in the 2020’s I remember once a teacher in 4th grade asked us to write down what we thought the 2020’s would be like, and I vividly remember not what I wrote but what one of my classmates wrote, he thought that houses would fly, and that cars would fly as well by that time. Houses don’t fly and neither do cars, but we have come a long way in the last couple of years. And even with all the advancements it also seems like there is more evil in the world too. But the light will never be darkened!!!
I hope this new year you are slowly getting back into a routine after the holidays. Slowly but surely. Are you writing down your vision for this new year, or making a list of your goals and aspirations for the New Year? Everyone has their own way of starting a new year and setting up the things they’d like to do and accomplish and or experience in a new year. In the past I have written down goals, made new year’s resolutions, made vision boards, written words that speak to me for the coming year.
This year I will pray and leave this year in God’s hands cause I know if I try to mold it into what I want to do and not rest in what He wants me to do this year I will only be getting hurt. So here goes a prayer,
Dear Lord, Thank You for this New Year and for the opportunity to be here in this wonderful world you have created for us to live in for Your Glory. I pray you may take control of my life this new year and may guide me every step of the way. I don’t want to do anything that is not inside of your plans for my life, I want to be in the center of your will. I pray for protection and guidance, health and wisdom for me and my family and loved ones and friends. May we always be near You Jesus. Always following your voice of a loving Shepherd. May this be a great new year for us Father, and give us the strength, wisdom and courage to know what to do in each given moment and opportunity. May others see your love and holiness in us Jesus. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
